Leonardo Favio Cultural Center Expansion

Memory

This is the adaptive reuse of an industrial warehouse that originally served as a multipurpose hall in Thays Park, in Palermo, City of Buenos Aires.

It has been relocated to a section of the Leonardo Favio cultural center in the city of Lanús, Province of Buenos Aires.

Its new function will be that of a multipurpose hall for cultural uses, theatre, etc.

In the first stage, the structure will be reassembled by castling the existing service blocks.

In a second stage, insulation and acoustic conditioning will be carried out together with the incorporation of interior coverings.

In the final stage, a large canopy will be added that will become the covered/semi-covered hall/transition space between the building and the plaza that will precede it.
